ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
CHANGE
55 CLOUD offers an environmentally-friendly material: change. Made from plastic bottles recovered from the ocean, Change is transformed into high-quality polyester fibres. Change combines luxury, comfort and stylish design.
NATURAL DYEING
Until 1860, only natural dyes were used, but after this date, artificial colors began to appear. Today, master dyers preserve these traditional techniques. carefully preserving traditional dye recipes such as saffron and pomegranate peel for yellow. From primary colors we move on to secondary colors, a long process involving immersion in several successive baths. The colors are unique and flamboyant, making each creation an exceptional piece.
ECO-FRIENDLY ACTIONS
Samples are packaged with a black reusable silk bow, no bag supplied. We avoid overproduction and have no rugs in stock. Each rug is produced for a specific project. Old carpet samples are donated to art schools.
IMPACT ON SOCIETY
We donate part of our profits to the french charity called “les restos du cœur”. At the same time, through various fundraising and donation initiatives we want to help the workers. Our aim is to overcome North-South inequalities.
Every year, we want to do better in terms of donations and support.
55 CLOUD‘s partner workshops are carefully selected for their ethics, their moral values, their commitment and their excellence. Each workshop is personally audited and has signed the 55 CLOUD Code of Conduct.

55 CLOUD promotes design by participating in exhibitions. As a lover of design, 55 CLOUD is committed to bringing it to life and supporting designers and artists.
